There was great success for the Upton Heath cross country runners at the third round of the Essar West Cheshire Athletics Club Cross Country Series, with our year 3 girls taking first place and our year 3 boys securing second place overall.

A special mention also has to go to Olivia in year 3 who took the first place position as an individual and to Noah, who came second in the individual boys category, and Sam who took fourth place.

With 50-60 runners in every single race, our children did so well to achieve these fantastic results.

Year 3 Girls:   1st Olivia Zarac,    9th Lyra Riley,    11th Ruby Barlow,     14th Rosie Blackwood,   15th Ella Lewis,   21st Isobel Taylor.

Year 3 Boys:   2nd Noah Booth,    21st Jack Murphy,     22nd Jack Bayles,     23rd Teddy Worral 24th  Jai Prakash.

Year 5 Girls:   16th Esme Graham     17th Emilie Vezza.

Year 5 Boys:    4th Sam Cormack.

Year 6 Girls:      5th Jemima Blackwood.

Teams:       1st place Upton Heath Year 3 Girls  (winning by 41 points).

2nd place  Upton Heath year 3 Boys

Many other children also took part, but were not placed due to running in less than three races. We are incredibly proud of every child for their efforts and would like to thank Miss Hodge for arranging this opportunity for our children.
