PE and Sports Premium

Upton Heath is known as a Cheshire primary school with an outstanding commitment to school sports.  Our aim at Upton Heath C of E Primary School is for every child to enjoy and look forward to their two lessons of PE each week.

To do this, we utilise our PE and sport premium funding to offer coaching from local sports teams and organisations such as House of Dance, Cheshire Phoenix Basketball, Warrington Wolves Rugby, Chester FC, Hoole Tennis Club and All Star Cricket. Through PE, your child will develop not only physically but emotionally, socially, morally and intellectually too with a strong focus on the benefits of exercise for health and wellbeing.

We also offer a wide variety of sports clubs, with opportunities for your child to enter competitions through their school life. Examples include tennis, cricket, netball, water polo, dance, cross country, basketball, rounders, athletics, girls and boys football, rugby and badminton. During lunch times, sports coaches provide a timetable of sporting activities that all children can access, with regular intra-school competitions.
