Carols Under The Stars at Upton Heath
Parents, pupils and staff at Upton Heath joined together for a magical evening in December for Carols Under The Stars, organised by the PTA.
The event took place at Upton Heath’s new Hive, a wooden meeting point in the playground area of the new Cheshire primary school, which opened in November 2019.
Members of the PTA helped children in EYFS, year 1 and year 2 to create their own lanterns for the event, with local businesses and parents donating LED lights to provide the evening glow.
A highlight of the event were the Christmas Wishing Tree, where people of all ages were able to hang their special Christmas wishes. Each class had the opportunity to sing under the Hive, watched by their loved ones. There was even a staff sing song, including Upton Heath’s new Principal from January 2020, Mr Conrad North.
Kind donations from parents meant that the PTA were able to produce numerous Christmas hampers which were raffled off on the night. Support for the event from parents was fantastic, and the PTA sold out of 200 doughnuts in record time! All in all, a wonderful, festive event that we hope to repeat every year.
Thank you everyone for coming along to Carols Under The Stars and to our PTA for your hard work in organising the event.
